High School Academic Team Earns Victory
The varsity academic team played its last regular match of the season at home on Tuesday, March 20 against Albany.
The match was close throughout the game, with Albany ahead by 20 at the end of the first quarter and the Panthers trailing by only 10 at the end of the second and third quarters. By outscoring Albany on bonus points in the final quarter, the Panthers managed to win, 160 to 150. This was the first victory for the season.
Scoring were Jackson Zamora and Carter Crone with 50 each. Also assisting in the win were team members Maddy Hulett, Sofia Nunn, Shelby Snider, and Grace Warner.
