Tyler Butler--DAR Essay Award

Tyler Butler recently learned his essay, WORLD WAR I: THE WAR TO END ALL WARS, was selected the winner in the 7th grade division of the Daviess County  Daughters of the American Revolution American History Essay contest.  Butler,  a 7th Grader at Pattonsburg, and the son of Willie and Becky Butler entered the contest after writing his essay in Ms. Alyssa Lambert's English class.  

In recognition of the essay winners, there will be an awards ceremony held at the President's Tea, February 14 at the Gallatin Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m.  Winners, family members, their teachers, principals and counselors are invited to attend where the winners will present their speech.

Other winners include 5th Grade - Mary Taylor, Gallatin and 8th Grade - Cloey Waterbury, Gallatin.
