District FBLA Results

More than 750 students from 40 chapters in Northwest Missouri traveled to NWMSU in Maryville,  February 8 to compete in District I FBLA Contest.  Performance events were held that day and machine-graded contests had been completed at the individual schools previously.  Leadership workshops and exhibits were also available for chapter members to attend.  Capt. Tim Finley, a 17-year combat-decorated U.S. Air Force veteran,  delivered the  keynote address about courageous leadership, endurance of character and the value of “being comfortable with being uncomfortable.”  Finley was a member of the 9-11 rescue crew and has participated in  air coalitions against ISIS.

Katie Warford will be competing at state April 8, 9, and 10 in Springfield.

The group was accompanied to Maryville by FBLA Adviser, Valerie Parman and high school principal, Tim Harding.
