Pattonsburg School Receives Money for Electric Buses

Pattonsburg R-II School District will receive $750,000 for two new electric
buses and $40,000 for charging infrastructure which will total $790,000 from the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to purchase electric school buses. This is
all part of the EPA’s Clean School Bus Program that focuses on reducing air
pollution for kids.
The EPA said the new buses will reduce pollutants that are linked to asthma
and lung damage, better-producing health and air quality in communities across the
country.
